Nothing is left to chance.
Maroma quality is the outcome of the efforts of a responsible manufacturer who has created a range of aromatic products: incense, pot pourri, perfumed sachets and blends of essential oils.
The yoga of tomorrow consists in finding the Divine in our work and in contact with the world.
At Auroville, where the Encens d'Auroville line is made - and where an experiment has been underway for 30 years now to achieve a genuine human unity based on cooperation and harmony among people from more than 30 countries - every stage in production is inspired by the awareness that the potential for change in the state of mankind lies within ourselves, in what we do, in the conscious attention that we pay to our everyday work. What matters, above all, is the love that each of us infuses in our work.
The flame in our heart, sparked by a need to create beautiful products of quality, that are manufactured with care, has grown into an interesting and challenging commercial venture.
Business is not done "as usual", but with an increasing awareness and sensitivity towards the local and global environment and towards the needs of Auroville.
The product
The Maroma ranges, inspired by the teachings of the Indian master Sri Aurobindo and his vision of the future based on total harmony between mankind and the earth, contain only substances that have no toxic effects on humans or the environment.
They are made with only pure ingredients of prime quality (essential oils from the best production areas, accurately selected bamboo sticks, a paste prepared using sandalwood pulp, a tree bark powder known in India as "jiggat" and by the Latin name Machilus, and a minimal quantity of coal to ensure a gradual combustion process).
The paste is hand rolled onto bamboo sticks; after drying, the stick is steeped in various blends of natural essential oils.
Strict quality control at every production stage.
